Spousal and Child Support
To determine an amount of child support for a particular divorce case, Ohio courts use Ohio Child Support Guidelines which take into account the parents' combined income (gross income) and the number of minor children.
Parents may agree on a particular amount of support by themselves and file the written arrangement with the court. If they fail to negotiate, the judge shall set the amount.
